Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of CIIE. President Xi stressed that CIIE is not just an expo, but a major policy for China to push for a new round of high-level opening-up and a major measure for China to take the initiative to open its market to the world. China will take more active policy measures to further reduce tariffs, facilitate customs clearance, cut institutional costs on imports and accelerate the development of new business models such as cross-border e-commerce.
